Education/Technology – timlauer.org – TokBox Web Browser Based Video Conferencing  Annotated

    TokBox provides free web browser based video chat. To initiate a session, you need to register, but a nice feature is that registration is not required for anyone else to video chat with you. It works through your web browser, so you don’t need to download anything to your computer. It can also be embedded on a page.

      Apple – iLife – Tutorials

      • For all you Mac people out there. Apple has a great site that has tutorials on the whole iLife suite. Might be an easy way to teach students to use GarageBand…or allow them to teach themselves.

      • create your won map with just the information you want for students and embed it into your blog or web page, or link to it…better yet…have students create their own maps!

      Google has enhanced Google My Maps with a feature that allows you to embed your map in a web page or blog. Just click on the “link to this map” link and you are presented with code to paste into your web page.

        • Who needs a wall map when you have this! Click on it and it zooms in. If you have a LCD projector in your room this might be a better more engaging look at a relief map then the old pull down kind.
