Top five tech sites

I like Jeff,

I find myself somewhat submerged beneath papers of college apps and having lots of great conversations with kids and their families. Still I am trying to keep abreast and the five sites I love:

  • Techcrunch–news and reviews from the 2.0 fronteer. I pretty much read this everyday.
  • Lifehacker–not just technology, although there is a lot of it, it covers ways of improving your quality of life
  • Gizmodo–I love toys. Lots and lots of toys.
  • Engadget–just in case I missed it over at Gizmodo…
  • TWIT–no I am not calling you name, but the home to the best podcasts on the internet. This Week In Technology has been a great companion for my stroll to work.

Although none are specifically geared to ed tech, these sites have shown me much where the future of technology is going–where tech goes, so too might education.

I can back you up 100% for #5 – TWiT really has been a great addition to my weekly (and sometimes, daily) podcast list! I missed Leo LaPorte when TechTV died a very unglamorous death, but I’ve been glad to have a very “comfortable” guy like him to bring me the latest tech news every week. I must say, though, that Revision3 is scarfing up just about every other ScreenSavers alumnus out there, so I’m holding out hope that there might be more on the video side of the tech podcast world in the near future.
