So many reasons to love the internet–here is one
I log onto Facebook. Aside from the suggestion of a Friend, I notice a post from a former student (from 12 years ago–also found on Facebook)–1001 books you must read before you die. I click on the link, which turns out to be a review of a book by the same title by the New York Times. Coincidentally, I have just been compiling a “transition package” for our graduating seniors. This is a book with lots of useful advice from nurses, alum, teachers etc. I harrangued a popular English teacher into constructing his own list of books for the college bound rather than using the one from the Collegeboard or American Library association.
Now comes the crux: I wanted to see the list. I love lists. Just check out my various series over at International counselor on Money for college, Tips for college or summer programs and you will see what I mean. I wanted to see the list now. A quick google search brought up two excellent possibilities:
- Lists of best includes images of the covers for the visually inclined amongst us while
- Listology takes a straightforward list on one page–organized from most recent to the past.
For the record–I feel pretty illiterate.
